Compartment Doors, Hinges & Door Seals
Flush compartment doors are curved and feature a deep-drawn inner panel
Concealed hinges allow doors to be flush with body sides
Automotive hold-backs on vertical compartment doors holds the door open at 90°
Superior door seals A softer flange mounted seal protects compartments from the elements. Seals are continuous and removable, and designed to create increased clear door openings.
Shelving is adjustable on 3-1/2" vertical centers
Radius corners in all compartments
Benefit: Compartment doors on the Aerotech II are designed to look, feel, and operate like those manufactured in the automotive industry. Softer seals enhance compartment door operation by allowing doors to close with less resistance. Adjustable shelving allows for the customization of storage space within the compartment. |

Heavy duty automotive style rotary lock mechanism
Lock cylinders are double bitted and will not freeze, corrode, or jam
Lock mechanism control rods are heavy duty and easily adjustable
Bolt-on cover conceals lock mechanism
Benefit: Provides consistent reliable locking, and is easier to service. |

Lock Handles
Locks have a redesigned mechanism and feature all-steel construction
Lock handles are powder coated black, and have a textured finish
Benefit: A strong, theft-resistant lock assembly the operates with much less resistance. The finish on the lock handles matches the lock handles on the truck's cab, and will not fade or discolor. |

Pin Strikers
Wedge block strikers and rotary mechanisms are fitted onto each vertical compartment door
Single pin striker design
Benefit: Doors will self-align each time they are closed, and will stay in adjustment. |

Automotive Style Gas Filler Doors
Gas filler doors enhance service body appearance and are spring loaded for easy opening
Two fill doors are standard on roadside with built-in universal filler cup

A wiring harness is factory installed and flush mounted with the service body end panels

New, secure tailgate locking hardware
Tailgate strikers and rotary locking mechanisms are three times stronger than those on the original Aerotech
Benefit: Tailgate lock mechanism will hold the tailgate in a locked position, even under the stress of a shifting load. The new design makes the entire tailgate stronger, thus able to support heavier loads. |

A-60 Galvannealed Steel Construction
Reading Aerotech® II bodies feature 100% two-sided zinc coated A-60 galvannealed steel construction. The Aerotech® II is the only all-steel aerodynamic service body available.

Acrylic E-Coat Priming
Steel bodies enter a 12-state process which thoroughly cleans, rinses, and finally primes the steel by electrically fusing the primer to the steel. This process provides complete coverage to the body, even in the most hidden or recessed areas.
Benefit: Combining A-60 galvannealed steel with Acrylic E-coat priming provides the best and most comprehensive protection against rust and corrosion available in the industry. |
